My Master Sword sculpture is a representation of myself, first and foremost. In the Wind Waker's legends game series, the Master sword is dubbed "The Blade of Evil's Bane" and is used to seal away Ganondorf who is always trying to take Hyrule Castle over. I genuinely believe I would not be the same person, had I not started playing those games. It also represents that good can always overcome evil, even if you need a little help in the form of a sword.
It was a conscious choice to make the sword as big as it would be if it were real. The size is important as it is directly tied to my life. I also made it extremely lightweight, both for practical and personal reasons. It has never been a burden and I wanted to show that by using lightweight materials. I didn't want to accidentally shatter it. This piece was inspired by various artists who make dioramas which have interested me for a while now.
As such, this sculpture is a direct representation of me and what I am, and my belief that good is stronger than evil. Everything was considered, from the colors to the size, to the materials and to the subject itself.
