As someone who tried many art styles and medias, I can say that painting is my favorite way of express myself. Being someone who's been dealing with mental health issues for a while, art is my way of expressing what I have a hard time saying in words.I usually am more of an abstract person, so when I decided i was going to paint people, it was a big challenge for me.

This piece is called " Chase TWO girls lose the ONE" and it is inspired by a song that I absolutely adore, "Cardigan" by Taylor Swift. 

I decided to make this painting for my final project because I wanted to express a situation that happened to me not too long ago and that I find hard to get over. It shows two girls way up in the sky since they lost a part of themselves and died a little when they got left thinking  that they weren't enough, that their love was only tolerated instead of celebrated.
